About Expertise Project
Our team
Our core values.
We Support Educators
Our region's technical educators are the people who interact with our students for hundreds of hours each school year. They have the perspective and the mandate to expose our students to local technical careers - and we do everything that we can to make their classrooms come alive with relevant local video content.
We Highlight Young Professionals
We believe the best way to introduce young students to local career paths is to introduce them to near peers that have already chosen to take that path. That way, career discovery becomes less about statistics and more about choosing between local professionals to follow, mimic and learn from.
We Partner with Employers
Employers love to work with people who would love to work with them. That can't happen unless students are first exposed to their company mission and culture and then decide to learn more about it. We help students self-filter out the companies they are not a good fit for by showing them what it is really like to work there. This helps a company both recruit and reduce first-year turnover.
We create locally
We believe there is no outside entity that will help local students discover local careers -- it is up to us. We believe that working with local marketing directors, filmmakers, educators, tradespeople, workforce development organizations and the students themselves are the best way for our communities to tell our stories to our next generation.
